Jenny B. Davis has specialized in words and pictures for more than 20 years.

As the founder of Davis Creative LLC, Jenny manages a portfolio of creative projects. She's a photo shoot and runway stylist, photo shoot producer and a freelance writer and editor. She also owns a small retail boutique specializing in modern, architectural fashion accessories from women designers around the world; the boutique also offers high-end invitation design, and she coordinates the work of specialty printers, artists and artisans for each commission.

When it comes to photo shoot styling, Jenny literally wrote the book ... or rather, she revised it. She authored the second edition of Stylewise: A Practical Guide to Fashion Styling, to be published by Fairchild/Bloomsbury in Spring, 2018.

The book reflects experience Davis earned in part while on the masthead of Indulge magazine, the monthly luxury lifestyle publication of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. She spent nearly 10 years directing fashion and beauty coverage and styling celebrity and fashion photo shoots. She's reported for live video spots and produced two financially successful community fashion events.

Jenny has an extensive network of designer and retail contacts that she calls upon for editorial shoots and stories. She's attended New York Fashion Week at least once a year since 2006, traveled to Germany in 2009 to attend Berlin Fashion Week and Premium (she speaks German) and has trekked hither and yon across Dallas Market Center and the studio spaces at Southside on Lamar.

Davis also has fashion show experience. She's styled for Dallas Market Center's Trend Show and works as a dresser for both kids and adults through the Kim Dawson Agency.

As a freelance lifestyle writer, Jenny's work has appeared in Travel + Leisure, USA Weekend, The Chicago Tribune, the Christian Science Monitor, Plate, Mobil Travel Guides, Virtuoso Life, WHERE Chicago magazine, the ABA Journal, American Lawyer and many others. She has won myriad writing awards, including a Katy Award from the Dallas Press Club and the Chicago chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists' Peter Lisagor Award twice for feature writing. Most recently, she won an Audience All-Star Award for her outreach and social media work at Indulge magazine.

Jenny's travel stories have taken her to volcanos in Nicaragua, slow boats and steep hikes in China, souks in Morrocco and to palaces in Sweden, France and Finland. For food and wine features, she's endured vertical tastings of Cristal, caviar for breakfast and lots of sausage in Bavaria.

An attorney licensed in Texas and Illinois, Jenny has always juggled projects in the areas of law and lifestyle. She is the author and illustrator of the bestselling "The Supreme Court Coloring & Activity Book," which she recently updated to include Elena Kagan, and "The Lawyer-Presidents Coloring & Activity Book." (Find both books at www.amazon.com.) She also currently pens the monthly column "10 Questions" for the ABA Journal and for a year hosted a monthly Google Hangout webcast called "10 Questions Live."

As a garment designer, her gourmet-themed baby clothes company, Ellie's Party!, was featured in The New York Times, and she also founded a plus-size lingerie business (sourced and produced in Texas) that counted customers from San Francisco to Singapore. Plus-size styling is a passion, and she's proud to provide personal styling services to US Olympic Bronze Medal-winning weightlifter Sarah Robles and recording artist/composer Aeralie Brighton.

Jenny lives with her husband and two children in Fort Worth, Tex., where she serves on the board of directors for the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Drowning Prevention Coalition. She's also a frequent event committee volunteer for Planned Parenthood of North Texas. She's been a room mom and a soccer team snack mom, and also has transitioned from being a Big Sister through Big Brothers/Big Sisters to being a Big Friend to a successful college graduate. Any bruises, breaks or sprains can be attributed to her attempts to play soccer with the co-ed indoor soccer team The Wyld Stallions, and any hearing loss stems from her current obsession, mixing EDM music. She's taken private DJ lessons in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles and has worked with DJ Kayla Kruz, who also spins with DJ Sno White as The Raging Pandas.

Star Wars also plays a major role in her life: She is a member of both the Rebel Legion and Vader's 501st Legion international costuming groups with approved screen-accurate costumes of Princess Leia and a Jawa, both from Star Wars Episode IV, A New Hope. She and her family also appeared in costume as the Cantina Band at Star Wars Celebration Europe in July, 2016, and they were featured in The Irish Times and filmed for a segment to air on The Disney Channel.
